Mark's 29th birthday was yesterday. On Sunday we had a get together for cake and ice cream with a group of our close friends. It was a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed having them over for one last time before we leave Omaha. Both Mark and I are feeling sad about the place we have called home for 4 years.
Yesterday, between writing a paper for one of my classes, I cooked Mark a sirloin with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Normally we would have gone out, but both of us had a ton of homework to do, and so it was low key. Instead of baking a cake that would have taken us forever to eat, I went to Jones Brothers Cupcakes and bought some cupcakes for Mark. It was a nice day. Next year we should be able to do something much more fun!
