New Words

Occasionally Mark or I make up news words, most often accidentally. Some of them are really funny, so we decided we would start posting the better ones. Whoever makes up the word, the other has to come up with a good definition. Last night Mark said intertwangled which, for him, is intertwined and tangled smooshed together, like Bennifer, or Brangelina. My definition of intertwangled is when a regular song is made into a country song.

To Blog or not to blog...

Cheesy, I know, but I recently received the suggestion that we post on our blog more often. Neither of us are very good at coming up with things that are witty or interesting to write about, so we figured we could do this one of 2 ways. Either we start posting our papers that we have written for school, bore, or we find some interesting things to write about. Some of you may remember a poll that we had not too long ago on our blog, so we figure that would be good material. We asked what everyone wanted to see pictures of from Omaha. Tied for #1 were Da hood, as well as Creighton. So tomorrow, or I guess later today, we are going to take some pictures of both. The pictures of Creighton will be easy, but Da Hood might be a little trickier, without getting shot at, particularly at Da Shop. It will be an adventure!

I-680 Bovine Massacre

Exactly one year ago today, a semi towing a trailer full of cattle (42 cattle, exactly) went out of control from a weight shift in the trailer and tipped over spilling out all the cattle. Some were injured, some dead, and others were wandering down I-680 and on into neighborhoods. Officers were called onto the seen and, with shotguns ready, took care of the rest. It was a matter of a couple hours before it was all over and all cattle were accounted for and dead.

Now in memory of this horrific and tragic moment, let us all have a moment of silence.

4th of July

So we keep seeing all of these great blogs for Independence Day, and felt we had to share something. But, to be honest, we have nothing to share. We spent the day in self-indulgent moping, as our families were telling us about all the fun things they were doing together in Utah, and we weren't there to enjoy it. Boo hoo! We'll get over it, and then we'll be sure to be there for next year's!
