New Home in Omaha

Outside our Omaha, Nebraska townhouse, just 2 and a 1/2 miles away form the deadliest corner of Nebraska, if you know what I mean. Luckily, we live in the better part of that part of town. As our landlord put it, "These are the best of the worst", refering to the other tenets. That was how she was trying to sell us on the place. It isn't a very good picture, but it is impossible to get the entire thing, since it is 3 stories high.

The garage. and the replacement for the truck. We still miss the truck, but this is a little more family friendly.

Our laundry area, just inside from the garage. No fire hazards here!

We are lucky enough to have extra room for our storage. We even fit all of our extra business stock in the gray bins.

Here is our tornado shelter underneath our basement stairs. We had a couple tornado warnings and watches a few months ago. We figured it would be more comfortable to have something to sit on, that's why the bean bags.

Mark showing off the dining room, as you come to the second floor, and his Creighton pride. I am still disappointed that the mascot is a bird, supposedly a Blue Jay, that looks as if it is 90 years old and skinnier than a rubber chicken. When we moved in the first thing Mark's dad, Doug, did was to move the light higher. I think he only hit it once with his head before deciding it needed to be moved it up.

Here is our cluttered kitchen. We were getting ready to have some friends over for dinner/Family Home Evening.

The downstairs bathroom. Very exciting.

The view of our living room as you enter from the kitchen/dining area.

This is our living room as you head up the stairs to the third floor. We still have our ever changing entertainment center. It was green when we got it, then white trimmed in blue. It is a very versatile piece of furniture. Thanks, Darron and Jamie!

Third floor. Our bedroom. It looks very different now, as we rearrange, trying to figure out where to put a crib(s).

Our bathroom. Also very exciting.

Here is our guest bedroom. We call it our ethnic room, since this is where we will eventually have all of our mission stuff.

Our office. Obviously not our top priority for unpacking!
